So day 1 has been interesting...It's 7:18 AM in the morning and I'm waiting in the Germany airport....The flight to Germany was about 6 hours. The plane was huge...sitting about 10 seats wide across...I was sectioned off in a group of 3 seats. It's about 5 minutes to take off and no one is next to me so I think I have it made. All of sudden 2 Hasidic Jewish men come over to me. I can tell that their seats are next to me. The flight attendant tries to get them settled into their seats and they look at me and tell the attendant that they can't sit there. The attendant asks why and they both respond because she is a woman. The attendant calls them over to discuss it privately. All of a sudden they all come back. The attendant asks me if I will move to another open seat because they can't sit next to a woman. I honestly didn't mind because that seat was close to a crying baby and both men reeked of BO. If it couldn't get any crazier...I'm in terrible pain...my glands and throat are killing me...I can't swallow anything...My body aches. I go to the clinic in Germany and find out I have tonsillitis. They subscribed me an antibiotic. They said it should take 2 full days before I start feeling better. When I went to the pharmacy I was shocked when I asked how long the wait would be. The woman just looked at me and goes I will do it right now. In the United States, it takes at least 5-10 minutes if you are waiting for a prescription. Ughhhh this is so painful & the worst timing ever!
